What is Commodity

A commodity is any useful or valuable thing, especially something that is bought and sold. Grain, vegetables, and precious metals are commodities, but so are personal qualities that can be used to make money: Originality and imagination are rare commodities in the film business.

Above is the definition from www.vocabulary.com which I find that describe commodity the best. Let me ask you a question. Is Time a commodity?

Time is Commodity

To me, time is also a very useful and valuable things that people bought and sold. For self-employed, we exchange (sell) our time to the company in exchange for money. In this context, the company is actually buying time from people. Of course, there is more than a time, it is also the skills and experiences that the company is buying. In our current context now, I am focusing on the TIME.

When we lost money, for an example in an investment or trading then we can still earn it back. Money can be earned after we lost it. But, how about TIME? If we have lost time, can we earn it back? NO, one word NO. That why to me TIME is the most precious commodity in the world that cannot be replaced. Treasure your time, use it to the fullest and meaningful. Spend your time in doing something that is meaningful, it can be anything is the 6 aspects of our life (Career, Health, Personal Development, Relationship, Spiritual and Wealth).

Money can be earned back after lost, Time we will never get it back

Family and Friends

The TIME lesson make me realized that, we should not take things on granted in relationship. We should treasure our family and good friends, as we can only spend time with them when they are still around in this world. Once they are gone, nothing we can do. Many people including myself (*guilty of it), tend to overlook or take things on granted when come to relationship. We are too into our career or chasing wealth and spend little time with those we love. From now on, lets treasure, put in efforts and time with those that we love.

Relationship – Treasure it while you have it
