Trip to Genting Highlands

Travel No Comments »

We went to Genting on last Monday for 1 night. Managed to book Awana Resort Hotel for only MYR 88.80, which entitled us for 1 night stay at Deluxe Room, 2 Buffet Breakfast and 2 Cabel Car tickets. The hotel is really very nice and well maintained. The buffet breakfast also have quite a number of foods variety to choose from. It is really worth the money.

When we checked into the room, it is going to rain soon. That why it was quite cool at that time.

 Genting Skyway Cabel Car

Then we took Awana Shuttle Bus to Genting Skyway Cabel Car Station and took the cabel car up to Genting Highlands. The view is very nice although it is a bit scar. : ) As it was on Monday, there was not crowded in Genting Highlands.

The  first place we went is the Casino. At first, we thought just to went in to have a look and play some of the machines. We just take out MYR 20 to play some of those machines. At first, we loss all MYR 10. Then I put in another MYR 10. But we were so lucky, at the end we won MYR 60. Then my wife told me, lets go la… and we used the money that we won to have a normal pizza dinner and went in to Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum.

The entry fees to the Ripley Museum is MYR 18 per pax. But it is worth the money. We saw a lot of amazing stuffs in the museum. Before you enter the museum, the staff will take a pics of you. So when you come out from the museum, then they will ask whether you want purchase it or not at MYR 10. We did purchased it for memory.

Kuantan Trip

Travel No Comments »

Last 2 years, I went to Kuantan for a short vacation with my wife. Franky speaking, we really like Kuantan. The beach is nice, food also not bad. We stayed in Swiss Garden, Kuantan. The beach in Swiss Garden is ok only. Of course we cannot compare it to Redang Island, but definitely better than Port Dickson. ;) At least we still dare to go down and play water.

Kuantan also famous with Kopitiam. We try two different shops. The first ones is Kemaman Kopitiam, we have our tea there. The environment and shop interior is nice. But the food is normal only and not cheap. :D

Another interesting place that we visited is Charas Cave, in Panching area. Not very from Kuantan, about 30 km away. And 4 km off the main road, we have to drive thru all palm. estate. Charas Cave is actually a temple cave, with some Buddha figures. At the end of the cave, you can see a big sleeping Buddha. The cave is maintain by an Indian guy. We did donate some money for the temple. It is quite dark in the cave although there are some lights along the path.

The Indian guy told us, some people saw a white snake in the cave. But only lucky people can see it. Some visitors came from Johor just to look for the white snake, but cannot find it. As it depends on your fate with the snake.

After Charas Cave exploration, I started to like exploring caves. Cave is something so beautiful and unique. I feel so peaceful and cooling in the cave. Hope the next round, I can explore Gua Tempurung in Perak. : )
