Last 2 years, I went to Kuantan for a short vacation with my wife. Franky speaking, we really like Kuantan. The beach is nice, food also not bad. We stayed in Swiss Garden, Kuantan. The beach in Swiss Garden is ok only. Of course we cannot compare it to Redang Island, but definitely better than Port Dickson.
At least we still dare to go down and play water.

Kuantan also famous with Kopitiam. We try two different shops. The first ones is Kemaman Kopitiam, we have our tea there. The environment and shop interior is nice. But the food is normal only and not cheap.

Another interesting place that we visited is Charas Cave, in Panching area. Not very from Kuantan, about 30 km away. And 4 km off the main road, we have to drive thru all palm. estate. Charas Cave is actually a temple cave, with some Buddha figures. At the end of the cave, you can see a big sleeping Buddha. The cave is maintain by an Indian guy. We did donate some money for the temple. It is quite dark in the cave although there are some lights along the path.
The Indian guy told us, some people saw a white snake in the cave. But only lucky people can see it. Some visitors came from Johor just to look for the white snake, but cannot find it. As it depends on your fate with the snake.

Climbing the stairs to go up to the Cave.

After Charas Cave exploration, I started to like exploring caves. Cave is something so beautiful and unique. I feel so peaceful and cooling in the cave. Hope the next round, I can explore Gua Tempurung in Perak. : )
